Our favorite School Supply Spectacular event is right around the corner! As you know, this year will look a little different. We’ve come up with a safe way to distribute 1,000 backpacks in Cass County. This year, we will be doing a drive-thru event at Marcellus High School on August 18th and Brookside Learning Center on August 21st.
The actual event is from 10am-12pm.
GREETER
-This is may be one of the most important roles of the day. The greeter is the first person the recipients see and talk to day of. The greeters are responsible for ensuring the recipients have registered, arrived during their assigned time slot, and understands directions. This person needs to be confident and comfortable should a recipient show up without pre-registering and not during their specific time slot. (We will provide more detailed instructions should you be interested)
TRAFFIC
-Traffic volunteers will help navigate the flow of traffic during the event and ensures cars are entering and exiting the proper locations. (We will provide more detailed instructions should you be interested)
DISTRIBUTION
-This person is responsible for distributing backpacks based on grade and color preference. In this role, you may have to communicate with the recipients with a distance of 6 feet. (We will provide more detailed instructions should you be interested)
RUNNER
- This role is responsible for replenishing backpacks when a certain color or age group gets low. A runner will also be in charge of “running” around to each role and check in/provide any necessary assistance. (We will provide more detailed instructions should you be interested)
FOOD TRUCK
- This role is responsible for filling boxes and/or bags of food for direct distribution and placement into vehicles via a drive-through format. Heavy lifting, standing is required.
