The Niles-Buchanan YMCA is looking for volunteers to help with the 2019 Thanksgiving Day Run!
This annual event brings communities together for a fun cause. All proceeds from this event support the YMCA’s annual campaign. Funds raised help to assure that no child is denied access to programs due to financial need.
The Y is always here for our community and we want students like you to join us in making sure this is a successful event. Interested students are welcome to sign up for specific areas listed below. Please understand that not all requests will be guaranteed.
All volunteers will need to stop by The Y between 1:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 to receive directions and pick up their Thanksgiving Day Run shirt. Race day is on Thanksgiving Day - November 28, 2019
Volunteer Opportunities
Race Day Packet Pick-Up: Volunteers will be placed at stations to hand out race packets to participating runners.
Course Route: Volunteers will be placed at various locations throughout the course route to instruct runners on directions. There are three races: 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run.
Water Stations: Volunteers will be placed at various stations along race routes to hand out water to participating runners.
Clean-Up: Volunteers will be needed at the end of the event to help clean up different areas.
Place me where needed: Volunteers will be placed where they are needed the most.
