Come help us with a day of golf to benefit to Autumn House Adult Day Services, a nonprofit located in Paw Paw. Autumn House Adult Day Services
provides a daytime environment where adults with memory loss and special needs can participate in both meaningful and therapeutic activities.
The golf outing will take place at Heritage Glen Golf Club on Saturday July 27. Volunteer shifts are available at the registration table, Mulligan Card table, the Auction table, Hole in One witnesses and End of Event Runner. Descriptions for each of these jobs are below. Registration Table/Relief volunteers – 2 people
Registration: Check-in teams as they arrive, distribute gift bags, direct them where to go/what’s next. After registration is complete, volunteers will then transition into relief volunteers.
Relief volunteer: If we have holes that occupy only one volunteer, we may want someone to be a relief volunteer in the case that, say, the only person occupying the witness holes need to take a break, use the restroom, or eat.
Mulligan Cards – 2 people
Selling cards to allow teams a certain number of “do-over” shots. They will only be sold as the golfers arrive and not during their play so these volunteers would only need to sell the mulligan cards before the golf begins.
Auction Table– 4 volunteers (2 shifts, 1st shift 9-11am, 2nd shift 11am-3pm)
Selling auction tickets before start of event, during lunch, take a cart around the course and then as golfers return to the clubhouse.
Hole-in-One Witness – 4 people (2 shifts, 1st shift 9-11am, 2nd shift 11am-3pm)
This person can bring a chair and get comfy. The course will determine which hole will be the one-in-one hole. The volunteer(s) will be there to confirm the hole-in-one!
End of Event Runner/Auction Prize Distribution/Teardown: 2 volunteers (1-3pm)
This person will be there toward the end of the event to help with the closing of the event and distribution of auction prizes.
