Who We Are
Mission: To educate and inspire young minds to live hope filled futures.
WeECHO Youth Community Services (WEYS) is a youth led, youth engaged organization based in Niles, MI. Understanding suicide to be the second leading cause of death in youth ages 10-24 the organization was formed by Co-Founders KC and Cornelius Johnson to serve Berrien County youth by fostering positive mental health and increasing social emotional learning while decreasing bullying and juvenile delinquency. We aim to provide an avenue for a more hope-filled life by providing mentoring, training, and outlets for positive leisure.
What We Do
The services we provide are designed for participants to be inspired to be the best versions of themselves, develop the skills for a lifelong journey and lead by example in their communities. We provide programs and events for youth geared to mental health education, so they are well-equipped to serve the communities they are a part of, including summer and afterschool programming. We also host events educating the local community around issues regarding mental health awareness.
