We are looking for volunteers to staff the reception area in the Juvenile Division of the Berrien County Trial Court.  This person would assist people with questions about when/where their hearings are, welcome people who have come to meet with their Juvenile Probation Officer or therapist, answer the telephone and generally direct people to where they need to be.

The Berrien County Trial Court is looking for volunteers to staff their Childrens’ Waiting Area at the Berrien County Courthouse.   We need fun, friendly people who can volunteer from 8:15 to 10:00 Wednesday/Thursday morning and/or 1:15 to 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon to supervise not more than 5 children ages infant to 16 while they wait for their court hearings.

Volunteer: Community Restorative Board member

The Berrien County Community Restorative Board (CRB) is a Diversion program, based on the Restorative Justice theory, used an as alternative to formal Juvenile Court intervention. An eligible youth (first-time offender between the ages of 10 and 16) and his/her parents meet with a panel of CRB volunteers to discuss the creation of an agreement which will guide the juvenile offender in making amends to the victim and the community.
