Description

In case you haven't seen the latest from the Berrien County Road Commission, water is rising on Derfla and surrounding areas. We still need volunteers to help fill sandbags. We are meeting at 2pm. The location is moved to the area close to the township building. I would put 4411 Bacon School Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085 in your GPS. To get there you would go to the township building at 908 Minders Rd, pass the building until you come to Bacon School Road and then turn right. About 3/4 of a mile on your left hand side is a big pile of sand, sandbags and shovels. There is minimal parking on the street.

What we are looking for is for people to fill and tie as many bags as possible. Also, if any of the residents show up with a truck, to help them load and unload. The bags should be filled half way so they are heavy enough to form a wall & not float away, but light enough to still lift.
