Who We Are
Mission: To promote inclusion and independence for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to community living.
The Center for Growth and Independence (TCGI), based in Benton Harbor, MI, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, developmental challenges, mental illness, emotional disturbances, or other barriers to independent living. Originally known as GateWay Services, the organization has been operating since 1972. It serves individuals in Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, and Kalamazoo counties.
What We Do
TCGI offers services such as supported employment, where we help clients find and maintain jobs, community living support, which aids with daily living activities, and respite care for caregivers. Our programs are designed to empower individuals by promoting inclusion, self-sufficiency, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
